Emergency crews responded to Plymouth Hoe tonight, 20 March, over concerns about a woman’s welfare.
A major emergency response was spotted in the area, with the Coastguard, RNLI, police, and ambulance service attending.
Emergency crews rescued the woman from the cliffs on Plymouth Hoe.

The woman was rushed to hospital by land ambulance with a police escort.
Rescue teams were stood down shortly after 9 pm. A spokesperson for HM Coastguard told Plymouth Plus:
"HM Coastguard responded to reports of an incident in the Plymouth Hoe area this evening, 20 March.
Alerted at around 6.15pm, Plymouth Coastguard Rescue Team was sent to the scene."
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Plymouth Plus:
"Police were called at 6.10pm on Thursday 21 March following concern for the welfare of a female near to the water’s edge in the Plymouth area.
Officers attended and the female was left in the care of mental health professionals."
