Muthu's Premier in Saltash has been seriously damaged tonight Saturday 8 February.
It comes after numerous concerned locals contacted Plymouth Plus saying armed police swarmed the area.
A man has since been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage after the incident.
The owner of the shop has told us that numerous items have also been stolen from the shop. The glass front has been completely smashed.
Devon and Cornwall Police have been contacted for comment.
