A motorcyclist in his 20s is fighting for his life following a serious crash with a car in Plymouth early this morning.
Emergency services were called to Hyde Park Road at around 6.35am after reports of a collision between a red Suzuki motorbike and a white Toyota.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed the rider has sustained life-threatening and life-changing injuries. He was taken to hospital for urgent treatment.

The road remains closed between Peverell Park Road and the junction with the B3250 as a police cordon is in place.
Plymouth Citybus has diverted services via Mannamead Road and Outland Road.
Firefighters were also called to deal with a small fuel spillage at the scene.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the crash.
