National manhunt underway for acid attackers on the run

Wiltshire Police are now involved in the manhunt for acid attackers after a targeted acid attack in Plymouth on Friday 21 February.

It comes as a man remains in a serious condition after the early morning attack on Lipson Road in Plymouth.

Wiltshire Police have just confirmed that both men are described as being black males, in their early 20s, wearing all black clothing.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police has said:

 “Enquiries have led officers to look for witnesses who may have seen two men in their early 20s in the Grittleton area, close to the M4.
The men are both described as being black males, in their early 20s, wearing all black clothing. It is believed they were in and around the Grittleton area on the morning of Friday (21/02).
Officers investigating the assault are appealing for anyone who lives around the Grittleton area to check their CCTV and doorbell footage.
Equally, officers are keen to hear from anyone driving in the area at the time with relevant dash-cam footage.

Plymouth Plus understands that the victim who was targeted remains in a serious condition and has been transferred to a specialist burns facility.
