Times can be tough, and sometimes you need a little support—or a lot. Whatever you're going through, we hope you find the right help here.

Mental Health & Emotional Support

Samaritans – A 24/7 helpline offering a safe place to talk. Call 116 123 (free from any phone) or email jo@samaritans.org.
CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) – Support for anyone in crisis. Call 0800 58 58 58 (5pm–midnight) or visit their webchat.
SANEline – Mental health support for those struggling or helping others. Call 0300 304 7000 (4.30pm–10.30pm daily).
Shout – A free 24/7 text service for anyone struggling to cope. Text SHOUT to 85258.

Support for Young People

The Mix – Help for under 25s via phone, email, and text. Call 0808 808 4994 (2pm–11pm) or visit their website for support.
Papyrus HOPELINEUK – Support for under 35s experiencing suicidal thoughts. Call 0800 068 4141 (10am–10pm weekdays, 2pm–10pm weekends) or text 07786 209 697.
Nightline – A student-led support service. Check if your university has a Nightline via their website.

LGBT+ Support

Switchboard – A helpline run by and for LGBT+ people. Call 0300 330 0630 (10am–10pm daily), email chris@switchboard.lgbt, or use their webchat.

Suicide Prevention & Crisis Support

Suicide Prevention UK – A helpline for those struggling with mental health and suicidal thoughts. Call 0800 689 5652.
SOS Silence of Suicide – Emotional support for children and adults. Call 0808 115 1505.
Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide – Support for those affected by suicide. Call 0300 111 5065.

Regional Support Services

Lifeline (Northern Ireland) – Support for those in distress. Call 0808 808 8000.
Breathing Space (Scotland) – Support for low mood, depression, and anxiety. Call 0800 83 85 87.
Community Advice & Listening Line (Wales) – Emotional support and mental health information. Call 0800 132 737 or text "help" to 81066.
