A motorcyclist is fighting for his life following a serious crash in Plymouth this morning.
Emergency services rushed to Victoria Road just after 9am today following reports of a motorbike crashing into a wall.
The Cornwall Air Ambulance was sent to the scene and the biker was rushed to hospital by land ambulance with a police escort.
The Roads Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses in the area that may have seen the collision, have dash camera or CCTV footage to come forward quoting police log 151 of the 22nd of April 2025.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Plymouth Plus:
"Emergency services were called to Victoria Road, Plymouth, at 9am, following a report of a motorbike in collision with a wall.
"The bike rider has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"Highways are assisting with road closures in the area while the incident is ongoing. Drivers should expect delays in the area."
The road is expected to remain closed for quite some time and drivers are being urged to find alternative routes.
